Swing chairs are more than garden furniture. Indeed they look in their natural environment when placed anywhere in the garden or the patio either hanging from a tree branch, rocking over the swimming pool or offering shelter from the scorching sun under a lush green pergola or a shady porch. However, they are so versatile they can be easily moved indoors to the hall, the bedroom or even a cozy corner in the living room, a way to light up the harsh winter days with souvenirs of that deeply missed summery joie de vivre. Because swing chairs are keepers of the warmth, the fun, the happiness of the dolce far niente.

Swing chairs are some of the most welcoming pieces of furniture. That’s why they also fit in a wide variety of spaces other than homes, for example lobbies or waiting areas at hotels, restaurants, airports, beauty centres or dental clinics. Thanks to their likability, charm and contemporary design, swing chairs have transcended the home to conquer the universe of hospitality and the most diverse public spaces. Both indoor and outdoor. It’s a new era: the reign of crossover objects and hybrid spaces. And swing chairs are its highest exponent.

Inspired by the playful reflection of sun rays on the sea waves, Nautica swing chair tells us a design story set in the Mediterranean. Nautica swing chair was conceived as the reedition of a piece from the 70s. This new version was entrusted to a then very young Valencian studio: MUT Design. Their unique approach to design and their passion for all things Mediterranean gave birth to this fantastic piece of furniture, a contemporary design icon and possibly, our most renown product to date. Indoor or outdoor, Nautica swing chair’s whimsical silhouette is the one-size-fits-all of furniture: wherever it’s placed, it belongs bringing a bit of the light and the breeze of the Mediterranean.
